Foxton Preschool has been providing a place to play, learn and socialise for the youngest children of our community since 1978.
The preschool operates from Foxton Village Hall 5 days a week on a Monday - Friday from 9am - 3.15pm. Children can attend for the full day, or for shorter morning or afternoon sessions, as agreed by parents and staff on what is best for each individual child's needs. We also offer an option for breakfast club from 8.30am.
We are fortunate to have a fantastic private garden for the children to play in, which we make use of daily whenever possible. We are situated at the heart of the village, close to the recreation ground, the local dovecote and meadow, shop and church, which comes in handy for walks and minor trips out.
Foxton Preschool has close links with the village primary school, with 'the big kids' coming in regularly to read and play with the children. The staff and children often join the school for special assemblies and events, plus, in their final months at preschool, the children are welcomed into Foxton Primary for weekly sessions, to get them ready for starting in reception in September.
Foxton Preschool is led by Kelly Dunne, and is ably assisted by colleagues Beth Kewley and Lucy Dobson. Supporting our staff is an active working committee, whose members include parents with children at both the preschool and at Foxton Primary.

I’m Kelly the manager of Foxton Preschool. I have over 20 years experience in early years in both private and committee run settings.
I hold a NVQ level 4 as an advanced practitioner in early years, and I have also completed my NVQ level 2 and NVQ level 3 in early years and education.
Most recently, I also completed an NVQ level 3 in Special Education Needs and Development.
I have a daughter who I absolutely adore and enjoy spending quality time with her and our dog Bailey.

I am Beth, and have been working at Foxton Preschool since October 2019 during this time I succesfully completed my level 2 in child care.
Before having my two children and beginning my career in early years I studied at catering college in London and qualified as a pastry chef.

My name is Charli. I have worked in childcare for 6 years and love watching the children learn and grow. I took on the role at Foxton Preschool because I wanted to take on a new personal development challenge, and my own 2 daughters went to Foxton Preschool when they were young.
I enjoy singing, and am an active member of the Foxton Singers, as well as knitting and reading.

My name is Lucy. I have been working in Foxton Preschool since Easter 2023. I am trained in paediatric first aid and safeguarding.
I am a parent of two children and have previously worked in speech and language therapy (as an augmentative and alternative communication technology assistant), and have a special interest in makaton signing, languages and communication in general. I also love arts and crafts.

Foxton Preschool is supported by a vibrant parent-led committee. The current Chair is Cecilia Sleigh, whose 3 children have all attended the preschool.
