Foxton Preschool offers childcare from Monday to Friday during school term time, from 9.00am to 3.00pm.
Breakfast club is also offered daily from 8.30am at an additional cost of £3.50.
We are able to provide a hot school lunch at the rate of £2.50 (the rate the primary school charges us).
We accept government funding for fees. We also accept tax free childcare. Parents and carers can self fund any hours over and above those funded hours. The fees for those hours are directly in line with the government funding rates as follows:
For two year olds: £7 per hour
For three & four year olds: £7 per hour
Fees are payable half-termly, although it is possible to make other arrangements if necessary. Fees continue to be payable if a child is absent, due to either sickness or holidays. In cases of prolonged absence, parents should consult the Preschool Committee about fee payment. Each child’s attendance at the group is conditional upon continued payment of any necessary fees.
Currently, all 2, 3 and 4-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare funding. Where eligible, a further 15 hours of extended entitlement is also available for 3-year-olds and above. This is changing from September 2025, when all eligible children from 9 months to 4 years will be entitled to the full 30 hours. This funding is paid directly to Preschool by the County Council. Any additional hours beyond those funded by the government are payable by the child's parents or carers to Preschool.
Foxton Preschool is a non-profit entity, and all income received from fees or funding is used by the Preschool to cover rent, staff wages, equipment and resources. Invoices are issued at the start of each half-term and we kindly request that all payments are made promptly.
Please note that if you wish to change the number of sessions your child attends, please contact Kelly. Adequate notice of at least six weeks is required.
